Globe and TM SIM card registration guide

Globe SIM registration is still on going, to register a Globe or TM prepaid SIM, you may visit this link https://new.globe.com.ph/simreg or tap Register your SIM icon in your Globe One app.

This post about Globe One app SIM registration will guide you through the entire process using the Globe One app. We’ll show you how to register Globe / TM prepaid SIMs and Globe at Home prepaid Wi-Fi to avoid service disruptions.

As required by the law, your Globe prepaid and postpaid SIM cards needs to be registered by July 25, 2023 (updated). New Globe SIM cards shall also be registered prior to activation.

UPDATE: SIM registration was moved to July 25, 2023, Pres. Marcos approved 90 days extension.

SIM registration is required for each subscriber to strengthen protection from spam and scam messages.

Globe One app SIM registration process

There are two ways to register a Globe / TM SIM, you may register by Globe One app or visit their official website.

Get your phone together with a valid ID to start SIM registration.

Valid IDs for SIM registration are;

  • Philippine Passport
  • PhilSys ID
  • SSS ID
  • GSIS e-Card
  • Driver’s license
  • NBI Clearance
  • Police Clearance
  • Firearm’s license to own and possess ID
  • PRC ID
  • Integrated Bar of the Philippines ID
  • Overseas Worker’s Welfare Administration ID
  • BIR ID
  • Voter’s ID
  • Senior-Citizen card
  • Unified Multi-purpose ID
  • PWD ID
  • other Government issued ID with Photo.

If your ID is not listed above, you can choose “other” and make sure to add the ID number correctly. We have tried this working with the PhilHealth ID.

To register a Globe prepaid SIM via Globe One;

  1. Open your Globe One app then tap “Register your SIM“.
  2. Choose which account you’re going to register, or manually type in the mobile number.
  3. Tap “Register SIM“, you will receive an OTP code from your phone.
  4. Enter the “One-time-PIN” code to verify your mobile number. OTP will expire in 5 minutes. Once verified, you can now proceed to registration.
  5. About You – Fill out the form; Full Name, Date of birth, Gender, Nationality, Registration type and Complete Address.
  6. Verify your identity by taking a selfie photo and uploading it together with your valid ID. The file must be png, jpeg or pdf and should be at least 2MB size. Select the ID type > input ID number then Tap Upload/Take Photo button. Tap Next to continue.
  7. Read and tick each checkbox to agree with Globe’s Data Privacy notice and Attestation of Completeness and Accuracy, then tap Submit.
  8. You’ll receive a reference number once registration has been completed. Keep it for future reference.

If you are having issues in uploading or taking up photo of your ID, you make use of a laptop or desktop computer and upload it in there.

To register via website;

  1. Open a web browser then visit this https://new.globe.com.ph/simreg.
  2. Enter your Globe prepaid mobile number, then click Register. You will receive an OTP code from your phone.
  3. Enter the “One-time-PIN” code to verify your mobile number. OTP will expire in 5 minutes. Once verified, you can now proceed to registration.
  4. About You – Fill out the form; Full Name, Date of birth, Gender, Nationality, Registration type and Complete Address.
  5. Verify your identity by taking a selfie photo and uploading it together with your valid ID. The file must be png, jpeg or pdf and should be at least 2MB size. Select the ID type > input ID number then click Upload/Take Photo button. Click Next to continue.

How to register Globe at Home prepaid Wi-Fi?

Globe at Home prepaid Wi-Fi comes with pre-inserted broadband SIM. Like other prepaid SIM, your Globe Prepaid Wi-Fi needs to be registered as well. You all know that during SIM registration, you need an “OTP” code, right? So, how can we get the OTP code from the modem?

To answer that question, we need to access your Globe at Home prepaid Wi-Fi modem dashboard. You can do it by logging in using a web browser and go to https://192.168.254.254. You have to login using the default username and password. Username: user Password: @l03e1t3 or details can be found underneath the modem.

Once logged in, find and click the SMS icon (mailbox) or SMS tab, all incoming messages are stored in this inbox, including the OTP code for SIM registration.

To Start SIM registration, visit https://new.globe.com.ph/simreg from your mobile browser or chrome in PC. Input your Globe Prepaid modem’s account or mobile number, proceed to verification. Go back to Globe Prepaid Dashboard, click SMS tab and get the OTP code.

You can return to the SIM registration page to input your OTP code and start verification. After verification, proceed to input your personal details, including the type of ownership of the SIM.

Upload your selfie together with valid ID, then submit. Just wait for registration completed notification in your screen. Don’t forget to keep your reference number.
